Monday Musings: Warriors finish perhaps worst week of season thus far

The Golden State Warriors have hit a bit of a rough patch as they near the All-Star break, dropping two of their three games this week with inconsistent play that we typically do not see from the defending world champions.

The Golden State Warriors need the All-Star break, and badly.

That, according to Steve Kerr, and anybody else who watched this team this week. The Warriors suffered their worst loss in a long time against the Jazz on Tuesday, when they dropped the game by 30 points. Then, they snuck by the Kings on Friday in a game that seemed more close than the final score.

And finally, on Saturday, they gave up 38 points in the fourth quarter and allowed Denver to come from behind to win.

On top of that, this week featured probably the craziest free agency rumor I’ve ever heard — LeBron James reportedly open to hearing the Warriors out this summer.

This might be the first week in this column where I have more bad things than good things to say about the Warriors. Here are my thoughts:
