3. Klay/Zaza pick and roll is a thing?

Seeing Klay Thompson distribute seems almost as rare as witnessing Stephen Curry dunk, and I’d argue that seeing Zaza Pachulia catch a pocket pass is more rare than either one of those occurrences.

That’s why this particular play makes it on to our top-3 list of the best plays from Thursday night’s Golden State Warriors win over the Dallas Mavericks.

Looking a some of the more recent photos of Klay, I hadn’t actually noticed that Zaza can be seen executing the pick and roll in many of them. Apparently, this is a legitimate play the Warriors run!

In fact, I’d assume Klay has a better assist-to-turnover ratio when passing to Zaza than anyone else on the team. I mean, how often do we see a pass from Draymond Green or Steph go awry when Zaza is the intended recipient?

Klay is constantly praised as one of the NBA’s top two-way players, but when he cleans the glass and distributes well, there’s no questioning why the guy has consistently been selected as an All-Star the past few seasons.

Now if only he can find a way to get to the line more!
