Andrew Bogut is currently on the free agent market, and is looking to join a contender for a playoff run. Would the Warriors consider a reunion with Bogut in Golden State?
Andrew Bogut was an important piece of the Warriors’ first NBA title in the Steve Kerr era in 2014-15. He averaged 6.3 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.7 blocks and 2.7 assists per game as the starting center in Golden State during that championship season.
Bogut got hurt and missed the final two games of the 2016 Finals, and losing their starting center was an underrated reason why the Warriors lost that series.
He began the 2016-17 season in Dallas after Golden State let him walk in the offseason. Bogut was then bought out of his contract with the Mavericks and joined the Cavaliers to possibly exact some revenge on the Warriors.
However, Bogut suffered a serious leg injury in his first minute with the Cavs and he was forced to sit out the entire season.

The Lakers brought in Bogut to add some veteran leadership at the center position, but they released him after just 24 games this season. Bogut is now available on the open market, and the Warriors may be looking for an upgrade at the center position.
JaVale McGee would likely be the odd man out if Golden State is going to add a player to their roster, but is Bogut an upgrade over McGee? Bogut was pretty terrible in his short stint with the Lakers, and he may not have much left in the tank.
Bogut is familiar with the system in Golden State and he knows how to play with many of the Warriors’ players. Unfortunately, injuries have slowed him down too much for the Warriors to shake up their roster to bring him in this season.
