Passing ability

Considering the Santa Cruz Warriors run a similar system to the Golden State Warriors, it helps to have guys in Surf City that have similar play styles to the guys in Oakland. Just like Georges Niang, Jones plays much like Draymond Green: a tough, versatile, energetic forward capable of playing at center in small ball situations.

And if there’s one thing that I absolutely love about both Draymond’s and Jones’ game, it’s their ability and willingness to pass the rock.

From no-look dimes in the half-court set to amazing setups in transition, Jones can do it all. In 13 games with Santa Cruz, Jones currently has an assist percentage of 21.3 percent, which ranks third among the Warriors.

Jones has quickly established himself as one of the team’s best passers. He’s displayed great instincts when drawing defenders away from passing lanes, and he’s surprisingly creative. He may showboat a bit too much for my taste, but it hasn’t been detrimental to the team in the least.
