Strength
Last but not least, you have to appreciate Jones’ finishing strength. Jones is a big dude, and he’s gotten quite good at using his size to bully smaller players underneath or to finish through contact.
The play below is an example of the latter:
If Jones isn’t drop stepping his way for a bucket, then he’s probably letting off a push hook; if he’s not throwing up a hook in the paint, then he’s probably going up for a highlight reel jam.
Paired with solid footwork, Jones is a force to be reckoned with down low. He’s a beast when he goes to work on the block, and I’d hate to be the guy assigned to try to stop him.
