Team Stephen held the lead for most of Sunday night’s All-Star game, but Team LeBron made a late comeback to steal the victory.

Steph Curry led his team of All-Stars to a double-digit lead after the first quarter, but LeBron James and his selection of players made a strong run in the second quarter to make it a tight game at halftime.

Team Stephen held a narrow lead heading into the fourth quarter, and the tight score brought out the best efforts of the best players in the world.

Curry’s team found themselves down three points with 10 seconds left in the ball game. Steph got the ball, but he was double-teamed by Kevin Durant and LeBron before passing it off to DeMar DeRozan, who was unable to get a shot off before the buzzer.

Team LeBron picked up the 148-145 victory.

More from Blue Man Hoop

Curry had an off-night going 4/14 from the field and only managing to score 11 points along with his 5 assists and 6 rebounds. Klay Thompson had 15 points and 4 rebounds on Team Stephen, while Draymond Green looked like All-Star Weekend took a toll on him with only 3 points, 2 assists, and 5 rebounds.

Kevin Durant was the only one of the Warriors’ four All-Stars to earn bragging rights as he played a large part in Team LeBron’s win putting up 19 points with 5 assists, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals.

The new All-Star game format definitely added to the entertainment value of tonight’s exhibition game. The fourth quarter was some of the best basketball I’ve ever seen in the All-Star game.

Hopefully this break in the regular season will provide a boost for the Warriors when they return to action next week.
