Lee drops 23 vs. former team

Last season, Damion Lee played 16 games for the Maine Red Claws, averaging 17.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 34.1 minutes. He shot 47.2 percent from the field, 46.6 percent from behind the arc and 81.7 percent from the free throw line.

Playing on Jan. 31, 2018, Lee paced the Warriors against the Red Claws with 23 points, six rebounds, four assists and one steal in 30 minutes. He shot 9-of-13 from the field (69.2 percent), 3-of-3 from behind the arc and 2-of-2 from the free throw line.

This was the first contest between the Red Claws and the Warriors this season, and it was also their last. Lee made sure to take full advantage of the opportunity to take it to his former team.

It’s too bad we won’t see another Maine-Santa Cruz matchup, otherwise we’d probably see another great performance from Damion Lee.
