Part two of the #SurfCity Summary: Jabari Brown is back with the Santa Cruz Warriors, and he couldn’t have returned at a more opportune time.

PART 1: Damion Lee added to Team USA

The Santa Cruz Warriors are currently positioned in the seventh spot in the NBA G League Western Conference, holding a regular season win/loss record of 19-18. They remain just 4.5 games behind the first seed after the NBA All-Star break with just a little over a month left in the 2017-18 season.

It’s been quite the downward spiral for the Warriors in the new year. Since the NBA G League Showcase, the Warriors have struggled to get back into playoff contention after once standing atop the Pacific Division.

But with Jabari Brown back in Surf City, things may yet change for the better.

Following a three-team trade, Brown, 25, played nine regular season games for the Santa Cruz Warriors last March, winning each and every single one of them.

Playing 27.0 minutes off the bench, Brown averaged 22.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists on 52.5 percent shooting from the field, 54.0 percent shooting from behind the arc and 87.9 percent shooting from the free throw line.

After the 2016-17 G League season, Brown had a stint with the Golden State Warriors‘ Las Vegas Summer League team, playing four games on averages of 7.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 steals in 18.4 minutes.

He later spent roughly a month playing with the Jiangsu Nangang Dragons, averaging 25.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals in 30.2 minutes per game. While in China, he shot 43.4 percent from the field, 35.5 percent from long range and 88.5 percent from the charity stripe.

We have yet to see him in action with this particular roster, so before we do, let’s take a look at some of his best Warriors performances from last year in part two of this weekend’s Surf City Summary!
