Catching fire on the Rio Grande

Jabari Brown took a few games to find a solid rhythm and a consistent role with the Warriors when he first arrived on March 8, 2017, but he truly cemented himself in the rotation on March 21 with his 36-point performance against the Rio Grande Valley Vipers at the State Farm Arena.

Playing almost 31 minutes off the bench, Brown added three rebounds and three assists to his 36 points, shooting 12-of-18 from the field (66.7 percent), 8-of-11 from behind the arc (72.7 percent) and 4-of-5 from the free throw line (80.0 percent).

Taking a look at the highlights, it’s not difficult to see what makes Brown great: not only does he have great scoring instincts, but he has the utmost confidence in his shooting abilities and doesn’t hesitate to when he sees a sliver of daylight.

James Southerland dropped 31 points, while Damian Jones (17 points, 12 rebounds) and Phil Pressey (13 points, 10 assists) each recorded a double-double. The Warriors ended up winning that game 138-125.
