Playoff upset
Brown made his postseason debut with the Warriors on April 5, 2017, posting 36 points, five rebounds, three assists and three steals in 35 minutes off the bench. He shot 10-of-16 from the field (62.5 percent), 4-of-6 from behind the arc (66.7 percent) and 12-of-16 from the free throw line (75.0 percent).
The Warriors narrowly won the game 121-120, pull off an upset in the first game of the first round against the Oklahoma City Blue.
Five other Warriors players finished in double-digit scorer, but none of them exceeded the 20-point threshold. Alex Hamilton was the nearest with 18 points, six rebounds and five assists, while Damian Jones had 14 points and Chris Obekpa had 12 points and 10 boards.
This game would set the tone for the rest of the round, as Brown would be forced to carry the team offensively for the rest of the postseason.
