If Pachulia got hit, you must acquit

NBA Twitter personality Rob Perez captured this particular angle of the Pachulia stumble, and it’s blatantly clear that Pachulia’s fall was caused by Nick Young‘s unintentional scissor kick after Westbrook’s initial fall.

It’s as they say: the bigger they are, the harder they fall, and Pachulia falls quite often.

Despite the footage being out there, Westbrook continued to double down on the notion that Pachulia purposely fell on top of him, telling the media that Pachulia clearly intended to injure. Teammate Paul George supported his teammate, calling Pachulia out as a dirty player.

Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving even took the time to share his thoughts on Instagram, calling for the league to take a closer look at the play in question.

NBA fans quickly took to social media to voice their opinions on the matter, some of whom changed their stance after viewing the footage exonerating Pachulia of any foul play. Others viewed it as reckless endangerment, enough to merit some kind of consequence from the league.

Then there’s Warriors fans who admit that Pachulia was not at fault and still called for Pachulia’s suspension — all for the sake of getting the 34-year-old out of the rotation.

Zaza has frustrated a vast number of Warriors fans since his debut, and a suspension appears to be the only way to stop Steve Kerr from playing him. The fact of the matter, however, is Pachulia hasn’t been as bad as casual fans may believe.
