Jones shows out vs. OKC

I had hoped Santa Cruz would have built up enough momentum after the Suns win to propel them to a win over the Oklahoma City Blue last Friday, but they ended up losing 111-101.

On the bright side, Damian Jones had his most efficient game of the season, recording 27 points (12-14 FG, 3-4 FT), 12 rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in 34 minutes.

This season, Jones is averaging 15.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 2.3 blocks with the Santa Cruz Warriors. Previously regarded as a project, Jones has slowly but surely molded into a solid big man capable of utilizing his elite athleticism to finish plays inside.

Next: Curry hurts ankle vs. Hawks

He posted a season-high 29 points against the Iowa Wolves back in November and a handful of big rebounding performances in December, but last Friday’s productivity was simply the best I’ve ever seen him.
