Stephen Curry’s ankle looked just fine as he led the Golden State Warriors to a win over the Nets.

After injuring his ankle against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, Stephen Curry returned and delivered a masterpiece of a performance with 34 points, six rebounds and four assists on 12-of-20 from the field, including 6-of-12 from beyond the arc and 18 points in the third quarter to lead the Golden State Warriors to a 114-101 win vs. the Brooklyn Nets.

The win marked the Warriors’ 50th win of the season, clinching their fifth straight 50-win season. It’s an incredible feat considering the franchise only had four 50-win seasons in their previous 67 years.

This game was built on runs. The first Warriors run was a 25-0 avalanche that spanned from the end of the first quarter to the second quarter. The second mountain of a run form Golden State was a 20-5 spurt from the end of the third quarter and into the fourth quarter.

Kevin Durant finished with 19 points, six rebounds and three assists on 7-of-16 shooting. Klay Thompson, who was held to only six points through three quarters finished with 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting. Draymond Green had 16 points, nine assists and five rebounds. JaVale McGee started once again and had 12 points, missing only one shot.

In the games that McGee has started, the Warriors are 9-0.

Turnovers continued to be a problem for Golden State as they gave the ball away 17 times. The Warriors are now 13-9 when they commit 16 turnovers or more, but they’re 37-5 when they commit fewer than 16 turnovers.

Only after a few games back, forward Jordan Bell injured his ankle yet again late in the third quarter.

However, Anthony Slater of The Athletic just tweeted out that the x-rays on Bell’s ankle are negative, which is a good sign for Warriors fans.

D’Angelo Russell led the Nets with 22 points and eight assists on 9-of-15 shooting. He was the lone bright spot for Brooklyn as the Warriors held them to 42.4 percent from the field.

The Warriors are rounding into form and keeping pace with Houston for the first seed in the Western Conference after they beat Oklahoma City earlier in the night.
