According to The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor, LeBron has narrowed his list of free agent destinations to four and the Warriors are nowhere to be found.

LeBron James’ impending free agency is about to be the biggest story since the last time he hit free agency in the summer of 2010. There has already been plenty of buzz about where LeBron will end up this summer, and that included a rumor that he would be open to a meeting with the Warriors.

That always seemed like a far-fetched idea considering that the Warriors have arguably been LeBron’s biggest rival of his entire career. However, Kevin Durant signed with his biggest rival in the summer of 2016 and that has worked out pretty well.

Durant and LeBron have also formed a friendship where one could see them playing together in the future. But for now it looks like that won’t happen in Golden State.

According to O’Connor, the four teams on LeBron’s list are the Cavaliers, Rockets, Lakers, and 76ers.

LeBron staying with the Cavaliers really shouldn’t scare Warriors fans unless they get the top overall pick in this year’s lottery to pick up a future superstar to play alongside James. The 76ers would be a formidable opponent with LeBron, but they would still be in the Eastern Conference and the Warriors wouldn’t have to worry about them until the Finals.

The Lakers would have to bring in another superstar to join LeBron in Los Angeles for them to build a team capable of threatening the Warriors, but they may have the cap space to do so this summer. Adding LeBron to the Rockets’ roster would definitely increase their talent level to be on par with Golden State, but the fit of those three superstars would be a major question mark.

The LeBron to Golden State rumors never felt real, and the latest report suggests that there wasn’t much truth to those rumors.
