KEVIN DURANT: 37 POINTS VS SPURS

Obviously, the offense changes whenever Curry is out. However, that doesn’t mean that KD’s propensity for ISO ball wasn’t needed aganst the Spurs because it was.

Durant emptied the clip, and it took nearly his entire arsenal for the Warriors to win. In addition to his scoring, Durant’s blocks on the defensive end started the comeback surge.

With Curry injured, Durant didn’t have any problems stepping up offensively. He also took on the offensive burden in losses to Portland and Minnesota. Sometimes, the Warriors force themselves  to call ISO plays for Durant. However Durant’s game is so versatile, it can adapt to Kerr’s motion offense even in the absence of Curry if needed.
