GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS: SEVEN PLAYERS SCORING IN DOUBLE DIGITS VS LAKERS
The conditions were right for a “L”.
Klay Thompson and Draymond Green joined Curry and David West on the the injured list. Sea Dubs’ guard Quinn Cook , Nick Young, and Kevon Looney joined Durant and Zaza Pachulia in the starting lineup against a dangerous Los Angeles Laker squad.
But the thing is, games aren’t won or lost on paper. The shorthanded Warriors beat the Lakers 117-106.
As a surprise to no one, Durant lead the team with 26 points. “Swaggy” chipped in with 18. Pachulia messed around and got a double-double-scoring 10 points and snagging 12 boards. Casspi scored an effective 15 off the bench while Shaun Livingston and Cook scored 13 points each. Kevon Looney added 11.
With the injuries the Warriors endured, this game was “Strength In Numbers” personified.
