Golden State Warriors Set to Finish Regular Season in Utah

OAKLAND, CA - MARCH 25: Nick Young

The Warriors will be looking to finish the 2017-18 regular season with 59 wins as they travel to Utah for their final game of the year.

It’s been a long. and sometimes rough, regular season for the Warriors as they’ve finished 81 games of the 82-game regular season schedule.

They’ve battled injuries to their key players all year long, and they will continue to do so as it doesn’t look like Steph Curry will be ready for the beginning of the upcoming playoff run.

However, they’ve still managed to win 58 games heading into their trip to Utah, and they’ve comfortably locked up the number two seed in the West.

Tuesday night’s game against the Jazz will be important to the Warriors for a few reasons.

Golden State has lost to the Jazz in each of their last two meetings, including a blowout loss in their previous trip to Salt Lake City. Beating a full-strength Jazz team on the road could give this group of Warriors a jolt of confidence heading into the postseason.

If the Jazz manage to capture the number three seed in the playoff picture, this could be a potential second round matchup. If these two teams end up playing each other in the postseason, each coaching staff will be intensely watching the film of this game in a few weeks.

It’s also important that the Warriors simply stay healthy and rest a couple of their banged-up veterans with the playoffs on the horizon.

Ultimately, Golden State wants to enter the playoffs on a winning streak and they can do so by picking up a victory in Utah on Tuesday night.
