The Golden State Warriors defeated the San Antonio Spurs on Thursday at the AT&T Center to take a 3-0 lead in the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs.
The reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors continued to have a bit of trouble against the San Antonio Spurs, but they still left the AT&T Center with the 110-97 victory Thursday evening.
The Dubs take a 3-0 lead in the first round of the 2018 NBA Playoffs. They’ll have a chance to sweep the Spurs on Sunday in what many hope will be Golden State’s last game in SA.
The Warriors started off the contest a tad slow, edging out the Spurs 26-23 in the first quarter. The momentum continued to shift back-and-forth for the majority of the second, but it was GSW that was able to close the first half strong with yet another 26-23 quarter.
The Dubs found a much smoother rhythm in the third, dropping in a 32-26 quarter to go up 12 heading into the final 12 minutes. Both teams continued to trade baskets for the rest of the night on the way to a third consecutive Warriors win.
Thursday night in San Antonio
Kevin Durant was your Golden State Warriors scoring leader on Thursday in San Antonio, pacing the Dubs with 26 points, nine rebounds and six assists in 34 minutes.
KD went 9-of-17 from the field and 7-of-7 from the free throw line, but he’s continued to struggle from behind the arc, going 1-of-6 from three.

Klay Thompson didn’t have as great a start as we’ve become accustomed to in this series, but he ended up posting 19 points, three rebounds and two assists in 38 minutes of play.
He shot well overall, going 8-of-16 from the field, and he went 3-of-6 from long range.
Andre Iguodala has looked much more assertive on the offensive end since the start of the postseason, this time finishing with 10 points, four rebounds and four assists on 4-of-9 shooting.
Draymond Green also finished in double-digits, stuffing the stat sheet with 10 points, six rebounds, seven assists, two steals and four blocks in 38 minutes.
Shaun Livingston picked up where he left off in Game 1, adding in 16 points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal in 20 minutes off the bench, while Quinn Cook notched 12 points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal on 5-of-9 shooting.
