Before the Western Conference Finals kick off between the Golden State Warriors and the Houston Rockets, let’s explore a few things the Dubs should be concerned about heading into Monday.
The reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors will be looking to make their fourth consecutive appearance in the NBA Finals, but they’ll first have to win the Western Conference Finals against the first-seeded Houston Rockets.
For the first time in the Steve Kerr era, the Dubs will be going into a postseason round without home court advantage. Considering the fact Houston also has the 2018 NBA MVP — not to mention the one and only point god who will one day go down as the third-best floor general behind Magic Johnson and Oscar Robertson — the Warriors once again find themselves to be the underdogs.

For those of you without a sense of humor — I’m just kidding. I’m not overly worried about how the Warriors will fare against the Rockets.
In fact, I would say I’m not worried at all, but that kind of blatant honesty would inevitably result in a great deal of unnecessary flak from Houston fans, which I certainly don’t need distracting me from enjoying my bottomless mimosas at my family’s Mother’s Day brunch.
Instead, I’m going to rate the relative level of worry I have per each concern on a scale of “low” to “high,” with “moderate” translating to “to be determined.” The determining factor for each level is centered around the probability of whether a specific concern ends up having a significant effect on the series.
So without further ado, let’s get right into it!
