The reigning NBA champion Golden State Warriors absolutely destroyed the first-seed Houston Rockets on Sunday at Oracle Arena, taking a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference Finals with a convincing 126-85 victory.

Unlike in their 127-105 effort in Game 2 last Wednesday in Houston, the Dubs got off to a great start to the night, recording a 31-22 first quarter. They narrowly led the Rockets 23-21 in the second quarter, finishing the first half with a 54-43 lead.

Then, in typical third quarter fashion, Steph happened: after scoring just nine points in the first half, Curry went off for 18 points on 7-for-7 shooting (2-of-2 from three), finishing the third quarter with a game-high 27 points.

After dropping in a dominating 34-24 third quarter, the Warriors followed up with an even better 38-18 fourth quarter, successfully closing out the night with the Game 3 win. They never let off the peddle right from the start, which is exactly the kind of effort we want to see for the rest of the postseason.

Game 4 will tip off in Oakland on Tuesday, May 22 at 6:00 p.m.
