Jordan Bell was the most high-profile player on the Golden State Warriors’ roster in Summer League, and he showed what type of player he can be in the NBA.

The Golden State Warriors began their offseason schedule in the Sacramento Summer League where they went 3-0.

Jordan Bell had a solid start to this year’s Summer League stint by averaging 6 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 2 blocks playing in two out of Golden State’s three games in Sacramento.

Bell played 33.5 minutes per game in Sacramento and shot 6/13 from the field in those two games.

Bell played in the first two games of the Las Vegas Summer League before missing the last two games with an injury.

More from Blue Man Hoop

In the two games before he was shut down with shoulder soreness, Bell scored 4 points per game with 8 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 2.5 steals, and 2.5 blocks per game. He only made 4 of his 13 field goal attempts during his time in Vegas.

Bell’s full stat sheet shows his versatility as a player and why he’s often compared to Draymond Green.

While his scoring numbers weren’t there, Bell did a great job distributing the basketball in Sacramento and he put up good rebounding stats for a player his size.

Bell was incredibly impactful on the defensive end with an impressive rate of both steals and blocks. He’s an outstanding defensive playmaker and we saw plenty of flashes of that potential during his rookie year.

He’s probably never going to be a great scorer in the NBA, as you can see from his points per game against lesser competition. However, he showed value in every other aspect of the game which makes him a great fit in Golden State.
