The Warriors have addressed their wing depth issues by signing a young and versatile forward in Danuel House.

The Warriors’ lack of depth at the guard and forward positions last year was exposed in the playoffs when both Andre Iguodala and Patrick McCaw were out with injuries.

That roster issue almost led to the downfall of Golden State in the Western Conference Finals before the Warriors came back and won Games Six and Seven against the Rockets.

Golden State drafted Jacob Evans to develop into a three-and-D wing, but they hadn’t made any other moves to fill that hole on the roster this offseason.

The Warriors’ front office has finally added another wing to their roster by signing Danuel House to a one-year deal, according to a report from Shams Charania.

Monte Poole is describing the deal as a “non-guaranteed training camp contract.”

The 6-foot 7-inch forward played in 23 games for Phoenix last season, and he had some impressive performances near the end of the year.

House scored 14 or more points in four of his last five games of the year, including a 16-point, 6-rebound performance against the Warriors.

House spent the 2016-17 season with the Wizards, but he only played one minute for Washington that year.

The former Texas A&M Aggie is coming off of a strong showing in the Las Vegas Summer League where he averaged 16.8 points and 3.2 assists per game.

House has not been a good three-point shooter in his career, but he has defensive potential with his size and length, and he’s shown the ability to score at the NBA level without an outside shot.

House will probably spend most of his games near the end of the bench, but he adds some versatile wing depth to a team that didn’t have enough of those types of players.
