Las Vegas is beginning to release NBA season win total numbers, and to no one’s surprise the Golden State Warriors lead the way.
The Warriors are heavy championship favorites entering the 2018-19 season as they prepare for their quest for a three-peat, and their fourth title in five years.
Golden State returns most of the core from last year’s team that swept LeBron James and the Cavaliers in the Finals.
They’ve also added another All-Star to their lineup this offseason, although DeMarcus Cousins might not be able to play until February as he continues to recover from a ruptured Achilles.
With all of those factors in play, the sportsbook at the Westgate has set the line at 62.5 wins for the upcoming regular season and BetOnline has set their win total at 65.5.

Golden State has the highest win total in the NBA at each respective sportsbook. The Celtics come in at number two at both sportsbooks, and the Houston Rockets have the second-highest win total amongst Western Conference teams,
For those who aren’t familiar with these types of betting lines, bettors would decide to place a wager on Golden State going under or over that particular win total to win the bet.
Each of these win totals would be an improvement on the Warriors’ regular season record of 58-24 last season.
Golden State struggled with injuries to most of their key players down the stretch, and they weren’t entirely motivated to play their best ball each and every night.
That motivation problem could be an issue again next season as they wait for the postseason to begin. However, the addition of DeMarcus Cousins could definitely raise their ceiling on the offensive end and increase the team’s motivation level once he’s able to return to the floor.
I feel like both of these lines that have been set are pretty accurate forecasts of what we can expect from the Warriors in the regular season.
