Stephen Curry 2018-19 Preview: Overall impact

Stephen Curry’s impact on both his team and the overall game will once again be huge. Curry is a special player. His influence on basketball has been more profound than any other player in recent history. Curry single-handedly revolutionized the way NBA teams play.

When Curry is on the court, the Golden State Warriors offense will be infinitely better. He will always be able to get hot and shoot other teams out of the gym. Even when he isn’t hitting shots, he has become much better at impacting the game in other ways.

With Curry running the show, his teammates should be satisfied with their roles. Steph will ensure that the ball is being spread around the court and each player remains happy. This will be key to the Warriors success this season.

His defensive capabilities may be questionable again. However, now that he is able to exert less energy on offense than ever before, his defense could improve. He still lacks the physical attributes to be a lockdown defender, but he has proven he can rack up steals. Curry could lead the league in steals this year.

The most important thing for Curry will be controlling the tempo this year. He has often had a bad habit of turning the ball over at a high rate and losing control of the game. Curry should focus on cutting this down and maintaining the balance of this star-studded team. If he does that, the Warriors can win their third consecutive championship.
