Golden State Warriors’ Steph Curry is regarded as one of the league’s best point guards, but how would he stack up against two-time MVP Steve Nash?

Winners of the last two straight NBA Championships, the Golden State Warriors, led by point guard Steph Curry, will be aiming at a third straight title. Will Curry’s greatness be able to will his team to four titles in five years?

While that’s still up in the air, what’s almost certain is that Curry’s best individual season is behind him. Obviously, the recently inducted into the Hall of Fame Steve Nash has also recorded to his best NBA season to date.

For Curry, his second MVP season was clearly his best individual, full-year performance. Leading his team to an NBA record-breaking 73-9 finish, Curry and his Dubs lost to the LeBron James-led Cavaliers in one of the league’s all-time great NBA Finals.

As for Nash, another two-time MVP winner, his best season, in my opinion, came after both his MVP-winning seasons. It’s an interesting situation for Nash. His two MVPs were highly controversial, and then he didn’t get the award during his best statistical season.

It’s especially weird considering Nash’s season following his second MVP was better individually and his team finished with seven additional wins. Historically, the committee and voters love team performances, so seeing Nash not win MVP and the Suns hit 61 wins was an odd dillemma.

That said, let’s dive into which of these two legendary point guard had a better peak season.
