The Golden State Warriors built their dynasty through the draft, and here are five great examples of draft picks they struck gold on.

We all know the countering arguments to the legitimacy of the Golden State Warriors dynasty.

The truth of the matter is that, for the most part, they built their team through the draft year after year. Draymond Green, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and many other stars have been drafted by the Dubs. Albeit some don’t stay in Golden State, they all started there.

Even prior to their recent dynasty, the Dubs had quite the track record of picking solid NBA players,  and as their young core evolved, it became even more evident that their success was mainly depended on the draft. As is with most teams, the draft is a crucial way to gain high-upside talent.

However, not all teams struck gold on their picks like the Golden State Warriors have. It’s difficult to scout the lower-lottery talent and predict which is going to be a future star. Although they’ve seen recent success, they’ve also blown quite a decent amount of picks.

With that, let’s get into five players that the Dubs are lucky to have drafted. There’s a good chance you should be able to guess the majority of this list.
