The Golden State Warriors are aiming for a three-peat this upcoming season.

For their media day, though, the Golden State Warriors, both players and coach, were focused primarily on the future.

It seems almost so certain that this team is going to three-peat this season that they’re preparing for next season already. While that might not be a terrible idea, the Warriors should play for the moment, not the future.

The Warriors had a high-octane offense last season, averaging the league’s highest points per game. Bringing back arguably a more potent squad, leading the league both offensively and defensively might not be too incredibly difficult.

While the Dubs got better, their competition, the Houston Rockets, got worse. With the Boston Celtics also in the way, this postseason might have some parody in it, a feature the league’s playoffs haven’t had for a few seasons.

What will happen following their projected three-peat is what Warrior fans were really curious to hear about. That said, let’s dive into some of the key takeaways from media day. And they all aren’t about the long-term future.
