Option No.  3

I know what you’re thinking. Something along the lines of “I’m about to stop reading this article.” is in the back of your mind. However, let’s take this one a player at a time.

DeMarcus Cousins.

While an elite athlete, we don’t know what to expect from Cousins. He could come back and be close to the exact same player or he could struggle and cause friction among the team. If the Warriors want to deal him somewhere he can prove his value and then sign a healthy contract, Minnesota might not be a bad option.

Cousins was only supposed to be a one-year stop, so the Dubs really aren’t losing much by trading him away. However, Cousins has already made great friends with many of the Dubs’ stars, so it might cause unhappiness on the superteam by trading him.

For Butler and Iggy, we’ve talked about their value in other deals, but they both could use a new home. Iggy could finally get max play time while Butler could snag a ring and prove he can be a winner in the Bay.

The Golden State Warriors by no means need Jimmy Butler, but with cap relief as a top priority, might as well consider a deal for the four-time All-Star.
