Could the Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns preseason game feature the league’s current and future dynasties?

The Golden State Warriors take on the Phoenix Suns in their next preseason game, a matchup which may contain the league’s current dynasty and future dynasty. Warrior fans will also get their first look at No. 1 overall pick Deandre Ayton in the Dubs third preseason game.

Deandre Ayton along with players like Dragan Bender, TJ Warren., Devin Booker and Josh Jackson hope to usher in the next great era of Phoenix Suns basketball.

The Suns haven’t seen relevance since Steve Nash and Amar’e Stoudemire made them a must-watch team in the early 00’s. Their fanbase has been part of just one winning season in the last eight years which was when the now Heat point guard Goran Dragic led the charge.

This matchup, while preseason, will be a great showcase of young talent versus developed talent.

The Dubs, who are seeking their third straight NBA Championship, have the league in the palm of their hands. They have the league’s most efficient offense coupled with one of the best defenses. Backed by two legit superstars, the Dubs, when clicking, are absolutely unstoppable.

However, how long might they keep this show going is the rest question haunting the Bay Area.

The Dubs core four are all older than 28. Green and Thompson are both on the younger side, just 28-years-old. Following Thompson and Green, the core four is rounded out by Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry, both 30.

That said, there aren’t too many years left for a prime Steph Curry to continue his dominance. Klay and Draymond might each have at least half a decade or more left while Curry could have as few as three seasons at his high-efficiently, top-tier level.

That just means eventually the Dubs dynasty will falter. It’s the way of the league. A team can dominate for a while, but no team can dominate forever.

With Golden State to potentially fall off in half a decade or so, who will take the Western Conference over? Well, Phoenix is a likely team to swoop in and become a very talented contender behind their recently drafted superstar duo of Deandre Ayton and Devin Booker.

dark. Next. 3 trades the Warriors could make for Jimmy Butler

We’ll get to see this on display tonight. The league’s current dynasty against potentially the league’s next elite dynasty. The Dubs should take down the Suns this time, but in a few seasons, it’ll be a much closer call.
