2. 2016 Western Conference Finals – Oklahoma City Thunder

Series results: Warriors win 4-3

The greatest comeback in franchise history. After falling down 3-1 to the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Warriors crawled their way back to win the series in seven games.

The Thunder were absolutely loaded this season. The duo of Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant were still terrorizing the league. With great role players such as Andre Roberson, Enes Kanter, Steven Adams and Dion Waiters, the Thunder were equipped to destroy Golden State.

OKC nearly did destroy the Warriors. Through four games, either Durant or Westbrook led the way in scoring each match as the Thunder won three of the four meetings. Oklahoma City won games 3 and 4 by a combined total of 52 points as the series appeared to be over.

However, the Warriors were not ready to go home. Despite KD and Westbrook combining for 71 points, the Dubs took Game 5 at home. Then, Klay Thompson hit an NBA playoff record 11 3-pointer. Thompson scored 41 and Curry dropped 31 as the Dubs tied the series at 3-3.

Curry once again shined in Game 7 by scoring 36 points and knocking down seven 3-pointers. The Dubs won the series on their home floor and advanced to the NBA Finals.

For the series, four different players averaged 24+ points per game. Durant put up 30.0 points and 8 assists a night while Westbrook chipped in with 26.7 points and 11.3 assists. Somehow, the Warriors managed to withstand the explosion from those two and win the series.
