Many assume the Golden State Warriors most feared opponent this season is Boston, yet the Dubs are better at every single position.
You may read that and think: “What a dumb, hot take.” Well, let’s re-read the opening headline, and then allow yourself an open mind into a non-bias Golden State Warriors take.
Let’s start at point guard. Stephen Curry versus Kyrie Irving.
Curry is easily better than Irving, and in the recent GM survey, the majority of the managers agree that Steph is the league’s best point guard. Curry is the Dubs wonderboy. Playing every professional season in Golden State, the fanbase has grown to love Curry, and it’s not a just their fanbase that thinks he’s the league’s best guard.
Curry’s just on another level and has helped transform the game of basketball in front of our eyes. He single-handedly broke the three-point record, then broke it again. He’s insane from beyond the arc and has done so through his hard work and dedication to the game.
Kyrie is an amazing point guard too though. He’s averaged 24.4 points per game last season and has been a clear top-five point guard over the past few seasons. Top-five won’t cut it when we’re talking about matching up with the league’s best point guard in Stephen Curry.
That said, let’s get beyond just the one.
