The Golden State Warriors gave up 81 points in the first half but stormed back in championship fashion to defeat the Utah Jazz on a last-second tip in. Here are a few takeaways from the road win.
Going into the matchup the Golden State Warriors knew they would be tested when facing the Utah Jazz on the road. Based off their regular season series last year, and Utah’s strong performance in the postseason, the Jazz entered this season with high expectations as a potential threat in the loaded Western Conference.
And for the first half Utah absolutely crushed those expectations, pouring 81 points on the defending champs. Golden State gets the opposing team’s best performance night in night out, and they surely took the best punch from the Utah Jazz.
Alas, the Warriors are the “defending champs” for a reason, and with two former MVPs in Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant leading the way, Golden State knows when to turn it on as they stormed their way to a comeback, capped off by a thriller way to win the game at the last second.
Here are a few takeaways from the 124-123 win in Salt Lake City.
