Let’s debunk the four myths surrounding the Golden State Warriors second unit.

Fans and critics of the Golden State Warriors can’t agree on a lot of topics but one statement they both can agree on is that: the Warriors bench is always worse than the previous year.

If a player doesn’t make fancy plays and drop 15-30 points as soon as he wears the Warriors jersey, he gets quickly dismissed and everyone nitpicks everything he does or does not do on the court. Last year was Omri Cassipi, this year is Jonas Jerebko.

Ladies and gentlemen, can we wait until January to start throwing stones at Jerebko? Just as it takes many a period of time to learn about a new job, it will take him a while also to find his niche on the Warriors.

But the quick judgments and criticisms about the Warriors bench are based on the notion that the Warriors bench is “trash”.

For those who don’t remember last year’s bench comprised of Andre Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, JaVale McGee, Jordan Bell, Quinn Cook, Omri Cassipi, Patrick McCaw, David West, Damian Jones and Nick Young.

Taking a look at the bench’s performances in the fourth quarter last season, we are going to debunk four myths about the Golden State Warriors bench on today’s edition of TimeOut.
