Patrick McCaw

The Patrick McCaw situation seems to be a blur for those in the Warriors organization and even more of a blur for those on the outside. What we do know is that McCaw became a restricted free agent this past offseason.

More from Blue Man Hoop

McCaw wouldn’t accept any long-term offer that the Dubs would just match, resulting in him missing out on hard-earned money. However, he hasn’t proven enough to get that interest from anyone, so he waited it out and let his qualifying offer expire without having another offer on the table.

Additionally, McCaw declined the two-year offer that the Dubs proposed to him. Now, we really have no idea what’s happening with McCaw, but he’s clearly still a viable candidate for this last roster spot.

Scoring just seven points per game throughout both his professional seasons, McCaw has struggled with injury and really couldn’t get anything going last season. His lack of production is what’s caused this conflict.

That said, McCaw has the highest probability to be signed to the last roster spot, yet the Dubs and McCaw still seem light years away from any agreement.
