Nick Young

Another player the Warriors had on their roster last season, Nick Young, is still a free agent. While he couldn’t quite make $5.2 million like he did last season, he would still receive a warm welcome if he decided to rejoin Golden State.

They need his scoring as well. The Dubs second unit has scored under 30 points per game. Last season, while not terrific, they were 22nd in bench scoring. This season, they’re last in the league, and that can almost be directly correlated with the players they had to let go in free agency.

Players like McCaw, Young, McGee and many others had significant contributions on the second unit. That said, Young can bring that energy and scoring back. He averaged 7.3 points per game last season, a low average for Young.

Following a Lakers loss, Young tweeted and later deleted something with the connotation that he’d be open to joining LA. While that doesn’t seem to very likely, Young can again find a role in Golden State if he’s willing to take less money.

We’re not sure if the Dubs and Young are still on good terms and if this is something conceivable for either side.
