The expectations for Jacob Evans this season were not high. Coming into his rookie season, Evans was drafted with the 28th overall pick by the Golden State Warriors. Currently, Evans is averaging an underwhelming 0.7 points and 1.2 assists per game.

Evans was a talented shooter in college, connecting on 60 of 165 attempts in his Junior year for the University of Cincinnati. So far, this shooting has not translated to the NBA level. Through six games with the Warriors, Evans has yet to attempt a 3-pointer.

Having a player at the shooting guard position that isn’t shooting the deep ball is a big downside in today’s NBA. If Evans wants to earn minutes with the team, it’s time he makes opponents pay with his shooting.
