Kevon Looney is playing in his fourth NBA season for the Golden State Warriors and is giving us exactly what we have become accustomed to expect. Looney isn’t going to be a superstar, but he has no problem with handling the dirty work and scrapping for extra possessions.
Looney thus far is playing a career-high 16.8 minutes per game and is seeing increased statistics in almost every major category. By averaging 6.1 points and 4.6 rebounds a game, Looney has earned himself a spot in the Dubs normal rotation.
It is good to see Looney produce solid numbers now as his chance to shine will likely be ended soon. Once DeMarcus Cousins returns, the minutes for backup centers on this team will be largely reduced. Meaning, if Looney wants any chance of staying in the rotation then his best bet is to keep performing now while has the opportunity.
