3. Houston Rockets

A familiar foe for the Golden State Warriors. In the last four seasons, the Warriors have faced the Houston Rockets a total of three times in the playoffs. Two of these meetings came in the Western Conference Finals.

The Warriors have handled the Rockets swiftly in most of their meetings. The first two series ended 4-1 with the Dubs advancing easily. However, their most recent matchup, the 2018 Western Conference Finals, came down to a decisive Game 7. If not for an injury to Houston’s Chris Paul, the Warriors may have had their season ended early.

Now, the Rockets are back with relatively the same squad and will be seeking revenge. Houston returns with last seasons MVP, James Harden, and a few new additions in Brandon Knight and Carmelo Anthony.

As of now, the Rockets have a 4-5 record and have had a rough start to the season. This cold stretch shouldn’t last long though. Once Houston heats up, the Warriors will have a truly tough challenge in front of them.
