2. Toronto Raptors
Since adding Kawhi Leonard, the Toronto Raptors have turned into an absolute powerhouse in the Eastern Conference. The Raptors started the season with an undefeated 6-0 run and have an NBA best 11-1 record currently. Toronto has impressed in many games, including a few dominant wins over high-status NBA teams.
Leonard has completely changed the culture in Toronto. Despite not playing in over a year, he has showcased his offensive skill set and is still a defensive mastermind. Leonard is averaging 26.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.8 steals a game. He has had an absurd impact on every game and controls the court at all times.
In addition to Leonard, Kyle Lowry has had a great first 12 games as well. Lowry is putting up 17.8 points and 11.3 assists a night and has been the Raptors outspoken leader. It is clear that Lowry is tired of being underrated and is on a mission to earn the respect he deserves.
The Raptors have also gotten contributions from rising stars such as Pascal Siakam OG Anunoby. Meanwhile, veterans like Danny Green and Serge Ibaka have been as productive as ever.
