The Golden State Warriors took down the Nets behind terrific performances from Kevin Durant and Quinn Cook as Steph Curry watched from the sideline.

After their second loss of the season, the Golden State Warriors were back in the winning column as the tallied a 116-100 victory over the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets were led by 24 from Jared Dudley and 14 apiece from Spencer Dinwiddie and Shabazz Napier.

As for the Warriors, they were, as usual, led by Kevin Durant. Durant put up a game-high 28 points to go along with a game-high 11 assists. He was actually also three rebounds away from leading the game in yet another category.

As Warrior fans, we’ve got used to these types of performances from Kevin Durant.

However, we aren’t used to Quinn Cook putting up the game’s second most points. He scored 27 points and was 11-for-16 from the field. Even Klay Thompson chipped in with 24 points to help the Dubs take a commanding lead early in the game.

There were some dark spots in this game though.

With Stephen Curry out and Quinn Cook stepping up, you’d think the second unit would’ve been given more opportunity to succeed. Well, for the most part, they were, but they didn’t do much with that opportunity.

Three Warriors bench players totaled over 20 minutes yet not a single one scored more than five points. Jordan Bell, Andre Iguodala and Alfonzo McKinnie were disappointing to say the least. This has been a common trend with both Bell and Iggy, so keeping an eye on that moving forward will be key.

Another interesting development is the fact that the Dubs hoisted just 16 threes. Significantly fewer than their season average, Golden State seems to really be impacted by the absence of Draymond Green.

Outside of the mere 16 threes, the Dubs who maintained a double-figure lead for the most of the game, turned the ball over just ten times. For the Warriors this season, ten turnovers is excellent.

This was another solid victory, pushing the Dubs to 11-2.
