The altercation and aftermath

With rumors swirling about Durant’s impending free agency, it seems to be affected Green as well. Reportedly, Green challenged Durant on his upcoming decision during their argument on the bench.

This is something that has been a touchy subject for KD in the past and could easily cause a rift between the two teammates. Taking a blow at Durant’s character is something that might feel like a personal attack.

The next game the Warriors play in is Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks. According to recent reports, the team has decided the sit Draymond out of this game.

While Green has always been a fiery competitor, his antics have never gotten him to this point. The team will need to look to fix this beef quickly and readjust before they embark on their path to another NBA championship.

If the Warriors want to three-peat, then Green and the rest of the team need to stop worrying about what Durant will be doing next summer, especially during the midst of a game. Hopefully, Stephen Curry‘s return will help balance some of this out.
