The Golden State Warriors, to the outside world, are in mayhem, but for fans, there’s not a true need to be worried quite yet.
While many may not know exactly what happened, the summed up version is that the Golden State Warriors power forward and 2018 All-Star Draymond Green blatantly ignored Kevin Durant’s call for the ball and then lost the ball to end the fourth quarter.
The game did go into overtime. The Dubs eventually lost the game to the Clippers, resulting in their third loss this season. However, the mayhem that ensued at the end of the game is much more worrisome than the loss itself.
For the Warriors, this has been the first real disturbance in the last few seasons. Personality-wise, there’s not really been any issues besides this one, and the Warriors have been in several close, down-to-the-wire games this season already.
With Kevin Durant’s pending free agency this upcoming offseason, it was already likely that he’d leave, but did this seal his fate? While that’s still a while away, there’s no need to be overly concerned yet.
That said, here are three reasons why Warrior fans shouldn’t quite be worried about Kevin Durant or the Dubs future.
