The Santa Cruz Warriors improve to 5-0 as they defeated the Northern Arizona Suns on the road for the second time this season.

The Santa Cruz Warriors scored 115 points on the road en route to their fifth win of the season behind Kendrick Nunn’s twenty-six points and Darius Morris’s twenty-five points.

On today’s edition of TimeOut, I am going to highlight five fun facts about Santa Cruz Warriors latest win and discuss the top performers in the last game.

Here are five fun facts about the Santa Cruz Warriors latest win:

  1. This is the third time this season the Warriors has grabbed forty-seven rebounds, twenty of them being offensive rebounds.
  2. The Sea Dubs low attempting and low scoring three-point saga continues as the Warriors were 6-of-24 from three-point range.
  3. They went to the line for the second-most time this season. They were 21-of 28 from the free throw line.
  4. The Santa Cruz Warriors got the most single-game steals for the season with sixteen.
  5. The Warriors had fewer turnovers in comparison to the opposing team, the Northern Arizona Suns. The Warriors turned the ball over fourteen times which compared favorably to the Suns 22.

The top performer in the latest game was Kendrick Nunn with 26 points with four rebounds, three steals and five steals in 35 minutes.

Just looking at that stats, you will be impressed; however, what will not make Nunn get a contract is his inconsistency at the three-point line.

Unfortunately, the NBA pledges allegiance purely to the three-point line and if Nunn doesn’t develop a three-point shot it will be hard for him to get an NBA contract in the near future. Last game he was 0-of-6 which must improve.

Outside of the three-pointers, Nunn was the most efficient player for the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Although the Warriors were 25% from three-point range, Morris was three-for-five from three-point range on his way to getting 25 points in 41 minutes. He was 47% from the field making 7-of-16 from two-pointers while dishing four assists and grabbing six rebounds.

Although Deyonta Davis only scored four points, he has been really good at grabbing rebounds and getting blocks getting four apiece. Antonius Cleveland also did well last game, scoring nineteen points including a perfect percentage from the free throw line. He also got eight rebounds for the Sea Dubs along with two assists and four steals.

Overall, it was a good game for Cleveland.

Next. Should the Dubs contemplate signing Carmelo Anthony?. dark

The Sea Dubs will play against the South Bay Lakers on Friday. Keep your eyes on the Warriors three-point shooting and enjoy the game!
