Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have said it before, but they have no need to recruit Kevin Durant. Along with a brand new stadium opening next season, the Dubs have every reason to believe that if they win the title this year Durant will stay.

Why not go for the four-peat?

The second time Jordan’s Bulls attempted a four-peat, the team disbanded before being able to claim a fourth straight title. That might happen to this Dubs team when Durant decides to dip following their three-peat.

However, Durant has proven to acknowledge those that hate him. He understands the haters and could smite them even further by continuing to dominate the NBA. How does five straight rings sound to those that consistently call you a snake and tell you that you took the easy path?

Along with sharing the court with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, the Dubs would most likely request either Thompson or Durant to take a pay cut, but Durant, who is already on a pay cut, might not let that stop him from re-signing with the Warriors.

Needless to say, the Warriors and Durant have been and will continue to be a force in the NBA, and if/when he decides to re-sign, that force will continue to reign over the NBA.
