Kyle Korver

The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to build for the future. The main reason JR Smith wants out is because he acknowledges that, and while Korver hasn’t made any type of statement regarding his future, it’s clear his talents aren’t at their best use in Cleveland.

Similarly, Jordan Bell’s best talents aren’t being brought out of him on the Warriors bench. He’s playing fewer minutes and overall contributing less production than he displayed during his rookie campaign.

The versatile 6-foot-9 center is securing just 11.4 minutes per game and averaging fewer than three points per game. In Cleveland, the 23-year-old that’s taken a step back in his sophomore season could further develop his talents.

For Korver, the Dubs would know exactly what they’re getting.

His sharpshooting could make Thompson, Curry, Durant and even Cook more effective. Nearing a career-low in points per game, Korver, without a dynamic playmaker, isn’t as impactful. He can’t get those open, easy-to-knock-down looks.

In Golden State, he could thrive, making this mutually-beneficial deal.
