Golden State Warriors: Proposing five hypothetical trades involving Kevin Durant
Washington Wizards Round 1
Kevin Durant is from the DC area, making his return and uplifting of a franchise in torment is even that much more appealing. Obviously carrying about the narrative, Durant might want to take his talents to a place where he’s the clear No. 1 option.
That place could be Washington, and with a team in disarray, they’re the organization that might risk it all to bring in the superstar before it’s too late. With their dysfunctional franchise, it doesn’t seem likely they’d be able to sign him this offseason.
The problem is that the Dubs, if they don’t request several first-round picks, will be targeting superstar Bradley Beal, one of the Wizards few star players.
Beal, 25, is averaging over 21 points, four assists and four rebounds per game. Along with over two threes and both a block and steal per game, Beal’s blossomed into a terrific all-around player. He’s the one Washington star opposing teams would crave the most in any deal.
And, if they’re going to snag Kevin Durant, it’s Bradley Beal plus much more. Would Washington do that just to get an early crack at KD?
