The Golden State Warriors and Toronto Raptors square off tomorrow night in what could be a preview of the 2019 NBA Finals.

While it shouldn’t be taken as a true Finals preview, the Golden State Warriors vs Toronto Raptors will showcase the league’s top two teams. If it weren’t for the 13-6 Clippers, this would be the top team from each conference playing head-to-head.

The reason why the Dubs aren’t the top spot in the Western Conference is the same reason why this game shouldn’t be taken too seriously. The Warriors are injured, and it’s been a reoccurring problem all season long.

Although Stephen Curry may try to partake in warmups and even attempt to play, he won’t truly be 100%. On top of Curry, one of the Dubs other four stars, Draymond Green, is unlikely to play. Both Green and Curry play a vital role in Golden State’s success and their absence has been felt.

This game may be a fan’s dream. With both teams ranked in the NBA five in points per game, this game could be an offensive onslaught. Both teams are also ranked in the top three in offensive rating. With elite coaching, this game should be a solid showcase of the league’s top-notch talent.

Coming into the season, the Warriors, 15-7, were bound to be successful. Toronto, on the other hand, took a gamble this offseason, trading franchise-favorite DeMar DeRozan to the Spurs for Kawhi Leonard.

Leonard and Danny Green have been able to run through the Eastern Conference. Leonard, who sat out most of last season with a controversial quad injury, has looked better than ever this season. If fully healthy, the Raptors will be one of the a huge player in what should be an interesting Eastern Conference playoffs.

This game will also be the first game in a rough East Coast road trip for the Warriors. They’ll take on the Raptors. Then they’ll play three games against lower East teams prior to another huge matchup against the Milwaukee Bucks, another league-recognized powerhouse.

The Warriors have yet to play the Toronto Raptors and are 7-1 against the East as a whole.
