Justin Holiday

Although playing on one of the East’s worst teams, Justin Holiday is surprisingly having one of his best professional seasons, scoring a career-high 12.7 points per game. On top of that, he’s sinking 3.1 threes per game on over 40% from downtown, both career-highs as well.

Holiday is on the second year of a two-year/$9 million contract he signed in the offseason of 2017. Not a marquee addition, Holiday has been one of the most impactful players for the Chicago Bulls.

Just for comparison, Holiday is averaging as many threes per game as the entire Dubs bench is averaging per game. He’s been a different type of animal this season, and he’s filled the role Chicago needed him to play very well.

That said, Holiday is 29, and his prime is quickly coming to an end. He’ll probably have just a handful of good seasons left, and. he shouldn’t want to spend them playing for the Bulls. Not necessary in a position to request a trade, the Dubs should rescue Holiday from the Windy City.

He’d be the perfect player to slot in with the second unit. He could play alongside Curry and Thompson, providing another sniper for the Dubs to line their second unit with.
