4. DeMarcus Cousins

Determining how clutch of a player DeMarcus Cousins is tough for two reasons. One, he hasn’t appeared in the NBA Playoffs yet, which is the greatest test of one’s ability to stand tall under pressure. Secondly, he hasn’t played this season, making it difficult to assess how he will play after his return.

Luckily, we have enough statistics on how Cousins performed in the last few seasons to judge that he belongs in fourth place in this ranking.

Last season, Cousins shot 30-for-68 (44.1 percent) from the field in the clutch, giving him the 12th best percentage in the league of any player who attempted at least 60 shots in the clutch. Furthermore, Cousins finished with a plus/minus of plus 16 in the clutch, the 15h highest mark in the league for players with 130+ minutes in the clutch.

In addition to scoring, Cousins racked up a total of 41 rebounds and 21 assists. The only negative being his 15 turnovers, which is the only flaw in his clutch performances.

Overall, Cousins seems as if he will be a reliable option for the Golden State Warriors, should they ever choose to call on his number in the clutch.
