2. Stephen Curry

Without a doubt, Stephen Curry is a stone-cold killer in clutch moments. Curry has made a career off of hitting dagger 3-pointers versus opponents. Steph has drilled a total of six game-winning shots with five or fewer seconds left on the clock.

Some of Curry’s game winners have been flat out insane. His most notable being the one in which he pulled up from 38-feet versus the Oklahoma City Thunder to drill his 12th 3-pointer of the game and secure the win for Golden State.

In last year’s playoffs, Steph shot 6-for-11 (54.5 percent) from the field during clutch time. He was deadly from the 3-point line in these scenarios, shooting 66.7 percent from beyond the arc.

As for this season, Curry has started off hot, going 5-of-10 from the field so far. Curry has built up his reputation as one of the most reliable shooters in the clutch and can be trusted to jack up the potential game-winning shot.

Where Curry sometimes falters is his decision making in the clutch. He is prone to being too careless at times and risky passes/decisions often lead to turnovers. A 38-footer looks great when it goes in, but what if it hadn’t? His mistakes in the clutch are highlighted endlessly, his miss over Kevin Love in the 2016 NBA Finals still gets attention to this day.

Regardless of how some of Curry’s decisions have affected him in the past, there is still no question that he is a cold-blooded shooter. If I need someone to shoot a clutch shot, Curry is certainly a prime option.
